Alfred Poor, Ph.D. is a full-time professional speaker and writer. A Harvard graduate, he is the author or co-author of more than a dozen books. His primary focus is on the problems that recent graduates are having in the workplace due to a lack of fundamental “soft” career skills; he has programs for audiences ranging from high school students and their parents, to college students, to recent graduates, to HR staff and managers. He also has programs about marketing for small business owners, including the power of online video, and how to stop wasting time on social media marketing. He is also the Editor of Health Tech Insider, a website and weekly newsletter about wearable technology for health and medical applications. He has more than 30 years of experience in technology fields; he was a Contributing Editor with PC Magazine for more than 22 years, and has been published widely in trade and general interest magazines.
