Event Date: July 7-10. 2015

GopherCon is an annual conference dedicated to the Go programming language. It is organized by GopherAcademy, a community-driven group of developers who wish to promote the use of Go, the formation of an inclusive and supportive Go community, and the education of Go developers.

Call for Proposals

GopherCon 2015 will take place in Denver, Colorado on July 7th through July 10th, 2015. We will be accepting talk proposals from January 20th through March 31st, 2015. Due to the competitive nature of the selection process, we encourage you to submit your proposal as early as possible. GopherCon is a single-track conference with two days of talks. This means that the number of proposals we can accept is limited to the number of talks we can comfortably fit in two days. Don’t be disappointed if your proposal isn’t accepted!

Submit a Proposal

You must have an account to create a proposal. You may sign in with your GitHub or Twitter account. You may submit many proposals, but due to the limited number of available speaking slots, we will accept a maximum of one proposal per speaker.

Guidelines for Proposals

All speakers are required to adhere to GopherAcademy’s code of conduct. We will reject any proposals that do not appear to be in good taste. We encourage you to submit proposals that cover a wide variety of skill levels and a wide variety of topics. Our selection committee will attempt to create a program that is enjoyable for everyone by choosing talks that are aimed at beginners, seasoned Go developers, and people who know how to bootstrap Go 1.5.

Diversity

We strongly encourage diversity at our events. We will be actively soliciting proposals from a variety of potential speakers. Not all speaking slots at the conference will be filled by this CFP. GopherAcademy reserves the right to invite speakers who have not submitted proposals in order to create a conference that is more enjoyable, more informative, and more inclusive.

Travel and Lodging

GopherCon will arrange travel and lodging for accepted speakers. We will make every attempt to meet your requests for travel arrangements, but can not guarantee that exact flight requests can be accommodated.
